What's the difference between polyaspartic and epoxy?
Epoxy is an excellent base and build coat. Polyaspartic is a superior topcoat — it's UV stable, faster-curing, and more temperature-tolerant than standard polyurethane. Most of our systems use both in combination.
Can polyaspartic be applied in the winter?
Yes — aliphatic polyaspartic can be applied in temperatures as low as -10°C, making it possible to coat garages in Ontario winter conditions that would prevent standard epoxy application.
Does polyaspartic need a primer?
Yes — polyaspartic topcoats require either an epoxy or polyaspartic primer for proper adhesion to concrete. We never apply a topcoat directly to bare concrete.
