Our 7-Year Written Warranty
Every Pure Coatings floor is backed in writing — here is exactly what that means.
We stand behind our work with a 7-year written workmanship warranty on every coating system we install, commencing on the date of installation. The warranty is specific and honest: it covers the things we control — surface preparation, adhesion, and application — not damage caused after we leave. Below is a plain-language summary. The full, governing terms are set out in our Terms of Service.
What the warranty covers
The warranty covers defects in the materials we supply and defects in our application workmanship, including:
- Delamination or peeling of the coating system from the concrete substrate.
- Bubbling or blistering not caused by post-installation moisture infiltration.
- Significant colour fading beyond normal UV exposure (polyaspartic topcoats only).
Our process is built to earn that guarantee: full diamond-grind surface prep, crack and joint repair, a bonded basecoat, flake broadcast where specified, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Proper prep is what makes a coating last — and it is the single biggest reason coatings fail when it is skipped.
What voids the warranty
- Moisture and water infiltration. Damage from groundwater, hydrostatic pressure, seepage through cracks, plumbing leaks, flooding, or condensation from inadequate drainage. Please disclose any known moisture issues before we install.
- Structural movement. Cracks, heaving, or separation from soil settlement, frost heave, or concrete shrinkage that develops after installation.
- Impact or mechanical damage. Chips or gouges from dropped tools, jack stands, floor jacks, metal-tipped equipment, or vehicle impacts.
- Studded winter tires. Studded tires abrade the surface; that wear is excluded.
- Chemical or thermal abuse. Caustic chemicals, concentrated de-icing salts left to pool, or sustained heat from live exhaust resting on the surface.
- Ignoring cure times. Foot traffic before 24 hours, vehicle traffic before 72 hours, or heavy equipment before 7 days post-installation.
- Repairs by unauthorised parties. Any patching, recoating, sanding, or stripping not authorised in writing by Pure Coatings.
The warranty applies to the original installation address and is non-transferable to subsequent owners. It is also contingent on payment in full of all amounts due for the installation.
How to make a claim
If you believe you have a covered defect, contact us within the warranty period at hello@purecoatings.ca with photographs and a short written description of the problem. We will arrange an on-site inspection within 14 business days and, if the claim is valid, repair or recoat the affected area at no charge.
